This RFC20-BB carbon filter cartridge reduces chlorine taste and odor in residential and commercial drinking water.
It is made of granular activated carbon media with a spun polypropylene core and polypropylene end caps for strength, and there is a nitrile butadiene rubber gasket to ensure a watertight seal.
The filter has a porous polyethylene 70-micron outer shell to reduce carbon fines and other suspended particles in the filtered water.
It will reduce free available chlorine (FAC) at 2 PPM by at least 75% in up to 70,000 Gal. at a flow rate of 4 GPM.
The filter has an initial pressure drop of 0.90 psi at a recommended flow rate of 4 GPM, and operates over a temperature range of 40 to 125°F (4.4 to 51.7°C).
